An insured received a claim involving a motor vehicle accident that occurred while an employee of their non-medical home health agency was transporting a patient to a medical appointment. Our policy provided coverage for this claim under a Hired Auto and Non-Owned Auto Liability Endorsement.
An insured was sued by a visitor to the insured residential care facility after the visitor allegedly slipped and fell on a hallway that had been recently mopped. The owner of the facility remembers that the floors had been lightly mopped the day of the fall. In spite of the fact that the visitor did not seek medical attention at the time and did not further contact the facility for two years following her fall, the litigation has been brought and Huntersure is providing a defense to our insured under the facility’s General Liability coverage.
An insured Med Spa has been sued by a former client claiming she suffered burns after receiving a laser hair removal treatment. The treatment of which the client complained was the last in a relatively long line of treatments and was performed on the same basis of the earlier treatments. While we don’t believe the facts presented indicate our insured did anything wrong in providing the treatment, the reality is that the insured has been sued and we are providing them with a defense under their Professional Liability coverage.
